INNO-DEAL Project Final Conference
RDA LUR is one of the partners in the INNO-DEAL project (funded under 6FP, PRO-INNO programme), which aims to create long-term cooperation among managers of financing schemes and programmes for support of innovative small and medium enterprises (SME). The focus is on “start-up” and “spin-off” companies and on trans-national cooperation of EU regions. The INNO-DEAL project brings together 12 partners from 12 EU regions. Based on the expressed interest of these regions, we identified five themes for future cooperation:
Loan guarantee scheme as a help to access to credit for new and start-up companies,
Matching between European SME, business angels and/or VC; Internationalization of European SME,
Improvement of the value of digital media and creative industries through innovation,
Trans-regional cooperation and innovation in the environmental sector,
Integration of schemes for spin-off creation and internationalisation.
The INNO-DEAL Final Conference, entitled »How to Provide Solutions for Innovative and Creative Start-ups in Uncertain Times«, took place in Ljubljana (Grand Hotel Union) on 2 July 2009. The representatives of the European Commission, governments, organisations of business support environment and academia presented their views on ensuring a successful support to innovative and creative companies, also taking into account the current global economic situation. Special attention was paid to the five areas of cooperation that were identified within the INNO-DEAL project. We brought the conference to an end by signing the Cooperation Agreements.
The final project event continued on 3 July 2009 in the Technology Park Ljubljana, where the first Working Session of the signatories of the Cooperation Agreements took place. .
You can find more information on the event in the program. The number of participants at the conference is limited (2.7.) and applications shall be accepted until all places are filled. The working session (3.7) shall be closed to the public.
